    CCBA Interview Questions

3 real, structured questions and answers to help you prepare for CCBA interviews — curated by Vikrant Chauhan (CBAP®).

What is CCBA certification and who is it for?

CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis) is an IIBA credential for practitioners with 2-3 years of BA experience, validating applied knowledge of the BABOK Guide before they qualify for the senior-level CBAP.

What are the eligibility requirements for CCBA certification?

3,750 hours of BA work experience within the last 7 years, with at least 500 hours in two of the six BABOK knowledge areas, plus 21 hours of professional development and two references.

How is CCBA different from CBAP?

CCBA requires fewer experience hours (3,750 vs 7,500) and is aimed at mid-level BAs, while CBAP is the senior-level credential — both test the same BABOK Guide content at different depths of applied scrutiny.
